FOOD AND WINE CULTURE Consulting (FAWC) is an alliance of management consultants in the food, beverage, retail and hospitality sectors with headquarters in Heidelberg (Germany) and partner offices in Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy and England.
For more than thirty years, we have been successfully supporting startups, producers, retailers and HoReCa companies with strategic considerations, opening up new markets, product development and introducing growth and efficiency programs. With us, an entire industry comes together to envision solutions -, expand their regional or international market presence – and succeed in a dynamic market.
FAWC is flexible, fast and persistent, even with complicated project developments, and acts proactively even in changing markets. Our consultant colleagues have been working in the industry for many years and specialize in a specific field. Meet our founder
Cyrus Schultz
The origins of FOOD AND WINE CULTURE and CLATU
Cyrus Schultz is the driving force behind everything we offer, from strategic consulting services to market research and analysis to workshops and training. He is considered a proven industry expert in the food and beverage industry with excellent contacts with all players – from organic family businesses to small and medium-sized companies to food retailers. Together with an expert team of around 30 consultant colleagues under the umbrella of FOOD AND WINE CULTURE Consulting, he supports producers, retailers, importers, exporters and restaurateurs throughout Europe. His business consulting focuses on product range strategy, export, internationalization, growth and brand building.
Cyrus has over 30 years of consulting experience in corporate management and works in German, English, Spanish and French. His career began in 1984 with an apprenticeship in banking, followed by studying business administration and computer science. After graduating, he worked in the IT and robotics industry for over 10 years before turning his passion for food and wine into a career. After various professional positions in North and South America, Asia and Europe as well as interim mandates as export and marketing manager, managing director and advisory board (wine, cooking oils, coffee, baked goods, frozen products, nutritional supplements, gastronomy, hotel industry), he founded the CLATU Group, which has developed into a trustworthy advisor in the industry.
In addition to his consulting work, Cyrus holds TED talks, lectures and workshops. He is the editor of the German food blog “Culture Food”, author of several publications about food, nutrition and organic products and has been supporting the international “Slow Food” movement since 2006.
